    Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates

    Dr. Roderick received his undergraduate degree from Providence College and his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia.  He completed an Internal Medicine Residency and a Gastroenterology fellowship at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia.

    Dr. Roderick is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.  Dr. Roderick is a member of The American Gastroenterology Association, The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, The Crohn's Colitis Foundation of America and The Rhode Island Medical Society.

  • THOMAS H. McGREEN, M.D.

    Dr. McGreen received his undergraduate degree from Providence College and his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine and New York Medical College. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, an affiliate of Yale University and New York Medical College and a Gastroenterology Fellowship at The University of Illinois in Chicago.

    Dr. McGreen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and The American Gastroenterological Association.

  • ROBERT WOLFGANG, D.O.
    Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates

    Dr. Wolfgang received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, Binghamton, NY, and his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX, and a Gastroenterology fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. Dr. Wolfgang was selected to be Chief Medical Resident after completing his Internal Medicine Residency and Chief fellow during his final year of fellowship.

    Dr. Wolfgang is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, The American Gastroenterological Association, The American Osteopathic Association, The Crohn's Colitis Foundation of America and The Rhode Island Medical Society.

    Dr. Wolfgang and his wife, Lilly, have four children. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys woodworking, basketball, skiing, swimming (including the annual Save the Bay swim) and he still roots for the Buffalo Bills.

  • MORRIS P. ELEVADO, M.D.

    Dr. Elevado received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN, and his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA.

    Dr. Elevado is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He is a member of The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and The American Gastroenterology Association.

  • ROBERT J. BIERWIRTH, M.D.
    Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates

    Dr. Bierwirth received his undergraduate degree from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, and his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, WI.  He completed an Internal Medicine Residency, a Gastroenterology Fellowship and a Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  Dr. Bierwirth was selected to be Chief Medical Resident after completing his Internal Medicine Residency.

    Dr. Bierwirth is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.  He is a member of The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, The American Gastroenterological Association, and The Rhode Island Medical Society.

    Dr. Bierwirth has additional expertise in Endoscopic Ultrasound.

  • COLIN WOODARD, D.O.
    Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates

    Dr. Woodard received his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Northwestern University. He received his medical degree from the University of New England. He is a member of the ACG and the AGA. Dr. Woodard joined Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates in August of 2019.

    Deirdre Smith, APRN, CNP, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rhode Island College and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island. She graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Rhode Island.  Deirdre  is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has clinical experience in Primary Care and Gastroenterology.

    Deirdre, is a member of The Rhode Island State Nurses, The American Association of Nurse Practitioners, The Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Rhode Island and an Allied Member of the American College of Gastroenterology.

  • JENNIFER L. GEREMIA, P.A.-C.
    Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates

    Jennifer Geremia, PA-C, received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Minor in Chemistry from Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT, and her Masters in Physician Assistant studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Manchester, NH and has clinical experience in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

    Jennifer Geremia, PA-C, is board certified by the NCCPA.  She is a member of both the national and Rhode Island chapter of The American Academy of Physician Assistants.

    Jennifer Geremia, PA-C, is a Rhode Island native and is fluent in Portuguese.  She has a personal interest in Molecular Biology and has been involved in research at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she has co-authored two research papers.

  • JODI B. CUSACK, P.A.-C.

    Jodi Cusack, PA-C, received her Bachelor of Science from Boston University and her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Quinnipiac University. She has been working in gastrointestinal medicine since graduating from Quinnipiac in 2011 and has particular interest in liver disease and treatment of Hepatitis C.
    Jodi is board certified by the NCCPA and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She holds the position of adjunct professor at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions Physician Assistant Program and has also lectured at Quinnipiac University.

    Aside from medicine, Jodi enjoys musical theater and dance and has performed in various theatrical productions in Rhode Island.

    Lauren M. Gallagher, A.P.R.N, C.N.P. received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston College and her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Rhode Island. She has been working in gastrointestinal medicine since graduating in 2012. Lauren is board certified by The American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Lauren joined Gastrointestinal Medicine Associates in July of 2019.
